We have some great news for our valued members at Morley!
Technogym, a global leader in commercial health club tools has just confirmed our remaining equipment has arrived in Perth and has been cleared for installation. We are keen to ensure our brand new equipment is set up for you as soon as possible however we must close the gym to enable us to safely complete the process.
The gym will be closed from Tuesday 7 June, reopening on Monday 13 June.
What is happening during the closure?
During this time, maintenance works and some minor upgrades are being carried out as part of the equipment installation. We are also upgrading some electrical services within the gym which will require contractors present, therefore the gym will be a worksite for the duration of the closure.
We understand that this is short notice, however, after ongoing shipping delays and contractor shortages we have been given a slim window of opportunity to complete the installation. We want to take this opportunity to upgrade the gym for our valued members now, rather than risk further delays.
What about accessing the gym?
We know that staying active is a critical component of your health and well-being. The group fitness programs will continue to operate during the closure period but if you prefer to continue to visit a gym, the City of Bayswater has agreed to provide Morley members with complementarity access to The Rise and Bayswater Waves for the duration of the closure. You can access these facilities by visiting the customer service desk at each facility and showing your membership card.
What about fitness classes?
During this time, Group Fitness and Strength for Life classes will run as scheduled, however, will be operated in alternative rooms at Morley. Please see reception at each visit who will direct you to the appropriate room.
How can I keep informed?
For the duration of our health club upgrade, we will be providing members and general patrons with a series of special offers and updates on social media. Please stay tuned to the Morley Sports Facebook and Instagram channels for more information on this during the period.
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience. The health and safety of our patrons are a priority for us, so we appreciate your understanding. We look forward to welcoming you back once the gym upgrade has been completed.
